We were greeted with a warm welcome by Lisa, the owner of Ty Mynydd Lodge Holiday Home. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay, even offering to come pick us up in her 4x4 when the snow made it difficult for us to get there. Lisa was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, providing us with train times and ensuring we had everything we needed. The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-stocked, with complimentary Sky movies and WiFi. We felt completely at home and would highly recommend staying here.
While the majority of the reviews are glowing, there are a few minor drawbacks mentioned in the database. Some guests noted that they would have preferred a separate entrance rather than going through the bedroom.

The lodge was well-equipped with everything needed for a romantic getaway. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was conveniently close to a train station, allowing easy access to nearby attractions.
The lodge lacked a gated entrance, which made us worry about our dog wandering outside. Additionally, we found it slightly inconvenient to enter through the bedroom rather than through the lounge diner.

The holiday home was conveniently located, within walking distance to the train station and with easy access to the M4. The kitchen was well-stocked with fresh bread, milk, homemade jams, and a variety of breakfast options.-We felt very welcome and the host was friendly and accommodating.
The property was in need of refurbishment and some items were not up to standard. The shower handle was falling apart and the bed mattress was too soft for our liking.

Delicious full English breakfast. Spacious holiday home annexe with comfy bed and well-stocked fridge
Parking was a bit awkward with left hand drive car. Too many cereals in the kitchen.

The first class accommodation at this holiday home was simply perfect. the compact lodge had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable double bed. the continental breakfast provided was outstanding, with a generous selection of pastries, bread, yogurt, and homemade jam. the location was also a major plus, as it was conveniently close to attractions like St Fagans and Llandaff Cathedral, and the train station was just a short walk away, making it easy to explore nearby Cardiff. the warm and friendly welcome from Lisa, the owner, made us feel right at home.
the layout of the lodge could have been better, with the bedroom at the back and the sitting room at the front. the bathroom door had a tendency to stick, making it difficult to close.
